Car Insurance Toyota (Car Insurance). how to fix lifters noise in my vectra 1997, its driving me crazy, like i'm driving a diesel car?how to fix lifters noise in my vectra 1997, its driving me crazy, like i'm driving a diesel car? There are no lifters to adjust if this is a DOHC engine. But check your oil level, look for exhaust leaks (these some times sound like bad lifters). As I understand this engine, it may be time for either a new head and/or cams. Auto parts : Oil Filler Tube Acura 1995 . Oil Filter Alfa Romeo 1996 . Oil Filter Adapter O-Ring Audi 1997 . How long to charge a Trojan golf buggy battery? I got a couple of Trojan T105 (Ah225ah each) golf buggy battery’s. I connect them up to make a 12V circuit in my campervan for leisure purposes. I decided to place each one separately on charge for the first time. I have a full 3 stage automatic charger, (max 3.8A) output, which does 6V as well. However had the first Trojan battery been on charge for 60 hours and the automatic charger still not registering the battery full. In the week my usual 12v deep cycle leisure Ah110 battery charged within 24 hours on the charger. Generally the charger is quite good at re-charging batterys. I suppose with the Trojans are big capacity and my take a while? They were discharged down to 60%, so my in car voltmeter stated. Is there a formula to roughly work out charging time? car insurance. Toyota . How to Remove the Right Front Door Panel on a 1991 Buick Park AvenueThe door panels on a 1991 Buick Park Avenue, like the door panels on virtually all cars, are attached to the actual metal of the door itself. You may want to remove the door panel for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you have a stuck window, burned out window motor or stuck lock, or you need to replace a speaker. Whatever the reason, you'll find that this is certainly a job that can be done in a modest amount of time. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips screwdriver Panel toolSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Loosen and remove one Phillips screw from the door release assembly, behind the interior handle you pull to open the door. 2 Loosen and remove two Phillips screws from the pad on the armrest. Lift the pad off of the door panel to remove it. 3 Pull up on the front edge of the power switches panel on the front edge of the armrest area. Unplug the wiring harness underneath the panel and remove it. 4 Remove one Phillips screw from the rear of the map pocket. 5 Pry around the edges of the door panel with a panel tool to loosen the door panel. Lift the panel up and off the door.
Toyota . How to Remove Mouldings on a 1990 JeepMolding is found on all types of vehicles along the outside of the body. It adds style and looks to any type of automobile. A 1990 Jeep, much like any other type of Jeep, has molding as well. This molding can become worn or damaged over time and need to be replaced. The first step to replacing a Jeep's molding is to remove it. Just like any other vehicle, removing the molding is a manageable task for any auto owner with a few tools. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Flathead screwdriver Pliers Needle-nose pliers Hammer Punch Water Rags Step by Step : 1 Locate the trim running horizontally across the side of the Jeep. Pry it up beginning on either end with a flathead screwdriver. Press the screwdriver firmly on the end and press down until it goes underneath the trim. Pull up slightly on the screwdriver to free the end of the trim from the vehicle. 2 Grip the trim with a pair of pliers and pull up carefully so the paint job does not get damaged. Pull toward the other side of the vehicle and slowly work the trim off of the Jeep. Continue until the whole piece of trim has been removed and repeat the process for the other pieces of trim located on both sides of the automobile. 3 Pop out the plastic clips that remain in the holes underneath where the trim had been. Hammer them through the holes with a small punch. Repeat the process for all of the clips on the Jeep. Pry off the small rubber sleeves that held the trim in place. Grip them with needle-nose pliers and pull up to remove the sleeves. Repeat the process for all of the sleeves. 4 Wipe down the area where the trim was located to remove any dirt and debris that was underneath. Pour water on a rag and scrub the entire area. Dry the Jeep thoroughly with a clean rag. *Flat gauge Wrong The gauge wire probably has a lot of room to wiggle around in. This may be because your old plug has worn down its center electrode, causing a gap that is too large. If the gauge goes in and out with a lot of room on either side, the gap is too large. If the gauge can't fit between the center and side electrodes, the gap is too small, which means that the spark plug is not burning the fuel/air mixture efficiently. 521

Is it nice and cylindrical, like the center electrodes on your new spark plugs? Has the electrode's flat top worn down to a rounded lump? Or has it worn down on only one side? Chances are it's pretty worn because it's old. When the center electrode wears down, the gap becomes too large. When you do your tune-ups yourself, you'll probably check your plugs more often and replace them before they get too worn to operate efficiently. 6. Clean the plug. Then either gap it or replace it with a new one, following the instructions in the next two sections. To clean a plug, gently scrub the gunk and goo away with a wire brush. Keep in mind that although you don't need to clean new spark plugs, you do need to gap them. Some plugs are sold "pregapped," but I'd check them with a feeler gauge anyway. 7. Repeat the entire process for each additional plug, working on only one at a time. A good way to keep track of which plug belongs in which cylinder is to use an egg carton as a container and put the plugs into the carton's depressions in numerical order as you remove them from the engine. Either replace all the plugs with new ones or clean and reinstall all the old ones. Don't mix plugs in varying states of wear. If you do, your engine won't operate efficiently. If you find that a few of your old plugs aren't too worn and are in fairly good shape, but you need to replace the others, clean and regap the salvageable plugs and store them in your trunk compartment tool kit for emergencies. Toyota . What could be the issues in drive around a car which has reported a P1138 code?
Ford F350 Super Duty Super Cab. * Sometimes you can cure a problem — such as carbon-fouled plugs — by going to a hotter- or cooler-burning plug. You can identify these by the plug number. The higher the number, the hotter the plug. Never go more than one step hotter or cooler at a time. If your plugs indicate that something is seriously wrong with the way your engine is running, ask a professional mechanic for an opinion. If you're told that it requires extensive or expensive work, get a second opinion at another service facility without telling the technicians that you went to the first place. This is a good policy to follow whenever major repair work is suggested. We wisely get second opinions when doctors tell us we need major surgery; why not give your vehicle the same thorough attention before incurring a major expense? . Adjusting the distance between the two electrodes is called gapping your spark plugs. Gap new as well as old spark plugs, even if the package says that the new plugs are "pre-gapped." To avoid problems, work on only one plug at a time, in cylinder sequence order. The following steps explain how to gap your spark plugs: 1. If you're regapping a used plug, make sure that it's clean. If you're using a new plug, it should be clean and new-looking, with the tip of the side electrode centered over the center electrode. There should be no cracks or bubbles in the porcelain insulator, and the threads should be unbroken. 2. Take your feeler gauge, select the proper wire, and run it between the electrodes (see Figure 12-12). If the wire doesn't go through or if it goes through too easily, without touching the electrodes, you need to adjust the distance between the electrodes.
